Gina the Boxer has joined the Hope Dog program April 28th.  She will be available after she completes the program!  Thanks so much to the Hope Dog Program for giving Gina the training she needs to be a great dog!

A success story for Mandi!

The HOPE (Hounds of Prison Education) Program was launched in March of 2005 in an effort to help more homeless animals find their way into forever homes.  Sponsored by the Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance (CPAA), the HOPE Program works in conjunction with the State Correctional Institute at Camp Hill and CPAA member rescues.   The program pairs carefully screened inmates with needy dogs for a 6-12 week period.  The inmates work together with a professional trainer, prison staff and HOPE volunteers to provide the dogs with basic obedience training, socialization, behavior modification and one-on-one attention.  The dogs involved in the program graduate with a wealth of valuable skills that help give them a paw up on finding a home. 

"Jam for Justice"

Thanks to everyone who attended the Jam for Justice event.  We raised $1,300 for abused Boxers that are not given the medical attention from their owners.  Finley, our newest recipient of the fund, got a pin in his broken leg.  His leg was saved and now he is moving on with a new family. 

Please help us raise the $3,500 needed to 

cover the vet bills.  

Donations go to the "Justice Fund" to help dogs of abuse.

Meet Justice.  Justice the 5 month old Boxer puppy is a victim of cruelty - he was beaten by his human family.  His leg was broken, his hip was shattered.  The story goes on but it is to sad to publish to everyone - if you would like more information, you can email us at PABoxers@Gmail.com


Justice had surgery, a rod was inserted in his leg and pins hold the bones together.  He is on his road to recovery.   But he needs your help.  Please consider donating to the "Justice Fund" to help pay for his $3,500 vet bills.

We Got Boxers!
Our dogs come to us from homes, breeders, strays and shelters.  We don't know the background of many of the dogs that come to PA Boxers. We can only "guesstimate" the age of those dogs. And we try to learn as much as possible about the dogs from our foster homes so that we can best inform the adoptive homes of what we know.  This helps us make the best match possible so that our dogs find that "forever home" that they need!
 
Size is also subjective according to individuals. Here's a chart on how we base our assessments:

Puppy: under 6 months old - Young: 6 to 12 months old. - Young adult: 12 months to 2 years old. Adult: 2 to 8 years old. Senior: 8+ years old.

 
Small: Under 25 Lbs - Medium: 25 lbs to 60 lbs - Large: 60 lbs to 100 lbs - Xtra Large: 100 lbs
