Meet VaderDarth Vader is a 205lb pure bred Cane Corso Mastiff. He's truly a majestic animal with his gorgeous brindle coat and wonderful personality. He is NOT good with other animals, dogs or cats especially. He absolutely adores children though and is very gentle with them. His tail is a lethal weapon. It wags constantly and will knock over any open containers you have on the coffee table. Vader is house trained, not destructive at all when left alone, loves car rides, and knows basic commands but does pull on a leash. He's actually fantastic when off his leash though and stays right next to you. Vader adores playing with his now deflated soccer ball and will fetch pretty much anything you throw for him. He knows that he is too big to be a lap dog but he will still try to get as close to you as possible. He is literally a big mushy pile of love that loves to snuggle and follow his people around the house, especially "his kid". When we brought him home, he immediately made himself right at home and was immediately protective of his new house and family. He will give the scariest bark I've ever heard if someone so much as passes by the house. But when introduced to a new person, he's all about big sloppy kisses. Vader will make a wonderful addition to an active family with kids and no other animals

Updates
Adopted: Abby, Nala & Daisy!!
Here is a picture and update from the AWESOME family that adopted Parker!
"Here's a picture of Parker in his new yard. I think he likes it here. He is such a gentleman. He doesn't even seem to mind living in a home with three boxer girls. He wouldn't get on the furniture or the bed until we told him it was okay. He makes sure that everyone is tucked in bed before he goes to sleep on the couch. He will nap on the bed with you but at night he sleeps out on the couch. He plays like a much younger dog and gives as much love as you let him give you. Though he can't keep up with the younger girls for long before he needs a nap. I can't imagine why he was given to a shelter. I am so thankful to Tracy and PA Boxers for rescuing him. He is perfect addition to our family. "
Keep Your Boxer Cool This Summer
Heat tends to overcome Boxers more than most other breeds because the length of their coat does not help control their body temperature. With their short noses they have an especially hard time in the heat because they do not pant as efficiently as longer-faced dogs. On the hot and humid days keep your boxer indoors with air conditioning, fans and keep curtains closed to keep the sun out of your home. A cool wet towel draped over your boxer's neck and chest is a great way to cool them off. You can provide a cool dog mat for your boxer which, can be bought from a local pet store. Take walks in the early mornings or evenings, when the sun's heat is less intense. Always make sure that your dog has access to fresh water.
Make Frozen Treats!
You will need:
•1 ripe banana •2 T. peanut butter •2 T. honey •32 oz. vanilla low fat yogurt
In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe banana with a fork. Add the peanut butter and honey and with an electric mixer, mix at medium speed until smooth. Add the yogurt and mix again.
Pour or spoon the mixture into small disposable cups - about 3 to 4 ounce size. (use the bottom of disposable foam coffee cups) Place the filled cups in the freezer for 1 day and serve a delicious treat.
